OUR STORY

Bang Bang Korean Crunch is the first-of its-kind concept in the Canadian retail industry:  https://www.bangbangkc.com/

Namely, we were the first to introduce Korean fried-chicken, Korean hot dogs and other Korean-style street food to the retail food hall landscape when we opened our first location at the Pickering Town Centre in 2021.

As you are aware, Korean popular culture is sweeping the world, and you can find many of our menu offerings reflected in hit Korean movies, television shows, and other media.

As such, our menu offerings have resonated with customers of all ages and backgrounds, but is especially popular with Gen Z and Millennials. Our vibrant, visually-dynamic, and eye-catching fare is made for social media, and we would often find people showcasing our food on Instagram and SnapChat, which helped to drive more traffic.

Of note, our head office is running an exclusive lobster factory in Nova Scotia so that we can offer Korean-style Lobster Rolls , Popcorn Lobster , Lobster salad, Lobster Fried rice and Lobster congee at accessible prices. To our knowledge, no other quick service restaurant is offering lobster in any Ontario shopping centre and the whole Ontario.

Our elevated menu fare is a reflection of our executive chef  and part owner, Joe Hann. Joe is  Korean and has trained in some of Toronto’s top restaurants including Canoe and Oliver & Bonacini. While he was in Korea, he patented two different sauces and helped launch a new food concept that has grown to over 150 locations. He was also helped develop the menu and was a chef at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic games. His creativity, flair, and culinary training is what really differentiates Bang Bang Korean Crunch from other quick service re restaurant offerings.

Despite being in business for less than 2 years, Pickering Town Centre management has advised us that Bang Bang Korean Crunch will be a key part of its food hall expansion and reimagination when the landmark City Centre project commences.

At the same time, the success of the Scarborough store has pushed us to new heights, and the head office plans to go public by the end of 2024.

In the interim, we want to introduce the Bang Bang Korean Crunch to other strategic markets, and we think the concept would be very successful in whole Canada.
